MapShop has been renamed MapStudio. MapStudio for Homeland Security and MapStudio for Media retain the same functionality under the new name. But starting June 15th, MapStudio becomes part of the ArcWeb Services suite of solutions offered by ESRI, with new features and functionality anticipated in the coming months.
ArcWeb Services Solutions are tailored for the end users who want reliable and easy access to geographic data and functionality without hosting it themselves. These solutions provide up-to-date, geographic-based reports and maps that end users can access over the web for an annual subscription fee.
MapStudio for Homeland Security is a solution for crisis management and situational awareness. This application provides crisis management centers with the ability to create a common operational view with accurate street data, imagery, census data, and real-time weather, without having to load any geographic information system software on their desktop.
MapStudio for Media, designed for media outlets, is an affordable and easy way to create maps of any location in the world. Maps created with MapStudio for Media can be edited in typical illustration software.
